Science education reform is going though the bottleneck period in China, science teachers, who can develop science activities more flexibly according to the demand of new curriculum, lack of fresh and attractive resources to share with students. This situation provides the opportunity for the informal educational settings to help them communicate climate change issues among children. To foster the ideas of sustainable development, be aware of the fact of climate change, and furthermore, facilitate them to take actions from uncertainties concerning global warming issues, the science festival named "To be the responsible future global citizens", and featured" Thinking Globally, Acting Locally, Doing on my own initiative", was organized in a primary school with the support from China Science and Technology Museum. It passed 5 phases: 1. Be aware of the fact of global warming; 2. Look for the behaviors and habits of not using energy efficiently or increasing the carbon dioxide emission even though we are used to them in daily life; 3. According to the behaviors and habits they found, students were encouraged to give the solutions or provide the proposals to the people around them; 4. Inquiry activities: Calculate the grass areas in their school; Surveys on garbage recycling; Energy consumption in their school; Surveys on the carbon dioxide emission. 5. Communicating the out comes among the students in different grades. 620 students and 45 teachers had taken part in the science event with the enthusiasm they never had during the period of 28th of April to the first of June. This paper evaluates its influence, and an effective channel has been constructing to popularize the case to other province capital science centers all over China, and the staff in these science centers will help local schools to communicate climate change issues.
