NIKOLA TESLA MUSEUM-Living world of brilliant ideas As the only museum in the world which preserves the original and personal inheritance of Nikola Tesla, "Nikola Tesla Museum" in Belgrade is a unique institution and focal point for a broad scope of public attention on the work of one of greatest minds in modern science history. In 2003, The Nikola Tesla Archive was inscribed on UNESCO's Memory of the World Register. As a guardian and promoter of that legacy, possesses exceptionally valuable collection: above 160 000 original documents, 1500 photographs of original technical objects, over 1000 plans and drawings, 1200 historical technical exhibits, patent rights and inventions , correspondence with companies and individuals…Feeling a great responsibility towards Nikola Tesla's huge body of work, as well as everyone wishing to learn more about his legacy, the Museum works on Digitalization, Microfilming Processing and Exploitation Project. Saving and sharing the memory about Tesla as a milestone in the history of innovation as well as his knoledge, the Museum has a particular role in organization, support and promotion of the investigations from the history of science, which could possibly afford a better recognition of Tesla's role in development of science and engineering. Welcoming thousends of visistors from around the world, the museum is also ready to reach all parts of the world. More than 100 international multimedial, interactive exhibitions where organized in last several years, introducing to the wide public (the last one, "Nikola Tesla. His is the future', in Telefonica Foundation in Madrid, with 200 000 visitors, was real "Teslomania" phenomena) Tesla's figure and his impact of today's world of science and ideas. This work is intended to present Museum's activities in a whole- collections, archive, library, publishing , interanational collaboration, special projects and examples of best practice on popularization of Tesla's work.
