Background: As we know, science communicators play a key role in bridging the public and the science. But what faces the world, especially in China, is a great shortage of properly trained science writers, journalists, communicators, illustrators. Therefore, more training programmes are needed, which may preferably be conducted to give more opportunity to developing countries. And one important way is through education.

Objective:This paper is mainly dealing with the foundation of science communication major universities andcolleges in China, analyses that issue from different aspects including cultivation target, course setting,student recruiting and degree granting, mainly on the inefficiency. And also dig out the existingproblem in Science Communicator education by panel presentation with the teachers, journalists,future working employer like editor, director of organizations specialize in science communication, aswell as, some useful proposals.
