In the Danish science festival 2007 I have given 6 times a lecture about the divorce of mathematics from physics. In ancient time the two subjects were intimately close, the mathematics the axiomatic description of the given space. In the 19th century the foundation of mathematics on the choice of arbitrary axioms and talking about abstract sets, the subjects have developed en separation tending to a final divorce. I shall give a series of examples of both.
