I have recently moved to the UK to take up the position of External Communications Manager at the new Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research. Due to the fact my arrival and the Centre's opening have just occurred this month, I am unable to provide further details at this stage.

Generally,  my  presentation  will  discuss  the  challenges  in  communicating  an  issue  such  as  global warming, which has inherent uncertainties and high public interest and is high on the political agenda. I  will  offer  anecdotal  observations  regarding  the different portrayal  of climate change and  variability issues in the Australian and UK media.
