The essence of the European Social Model is expressed by the Lisboan Strategy and means: “the most competitive and dynamic knowledge-based economy in the world, capable of sustainable economic growth with more and better jobs and greater social cohesion”. The paper objectives are to find means to build a communication bridge between the science and society in order to achieve the goals of the Lisboan Strategy. The used methods will linked interdisciplinary socio-economic research with socio-economic policy public debates. This will help the different actors of the society: authorities, private institutions and firms, NGO’s, civic society, and research institutes and universities to have an interactive role in reforming the societies. The conclusions of this dialog partnership will be used to develop new research strategies, in order to answer to the complex socio-economic issues of the knowledge based economy.
