A decade ago, the main readers of Chinese scientific and technological magazine were those high school students and college students interested in science. Now, most of these magazines have improved their content and editions. As a result, the range of readers expanded. And those magazines have taken the central position in the selling of all newspapers and magazines together with fashion magazines. The issue I studied is that, how Chinese scientific and technological magazines changed in their content and design to meet the demand of contemporary market and audience. The author will analyze 4 to 5 kinds of bestseller scientific and technological magazines in China. There is "Chinese National Geography" in the aspect of geography, "Amateur Astronomer" in astronomy, "Focus" in science and technology. The author will also analyze the creative ideas, design, words, and pictures and so on before and after the edition improving. By analyzing, the author wants to the reason why Chinese scientific and technological magazine can bear the test of market and audience in the transition period, and analyze their existing problems, then discuss for effective solutions.
