Background: The rapid development of China's newspaper industry is on the rise trend. Despite the Internet development of China is also very fast (According to the "20th the Internet Development Report of China," the current Internet users has reached 162 million, the Internet penetration rate reached 12.3%), but because the level of economic development, the average level of education in china is not high and the network coverage is not yet complete, therefore, the newspaper is still the major channel of dissemination of news and information , the dissemination of information science and technology still relies on television, newspapers and other traditional media. It is great significance for understanding of China's science communication that we study China's scientific and technical reports for the newspaper. According to ¡°the annual development of China's newspaper report (2005)", the Chinese press has experienced 1990‐ 1993, 1994 ‐1999, 2000‐ 2004, the three cyclical high‐speed growth development stage. In the upcoming the fourth cyclical high‐speed growth development stage, the number of newspapers in big cities will be difficult as a major driving force in china. In 2006, the newspaper began a new growth point from the big cities to the central city as well as general city in China. Life services and other types of information of weekly press will become the new growth point in center cities. Chinese newspapers have become one of the fastest‐growing industries in China.

Objective/Hypotheses: Objective
Methods: Quantitative research methods ‐‐‐ Sample surveys: In the quantitative Methods, According to the circulation and influence of newspapers, the researchers elected 20 newspapers from a number of the party newspapers, Metro newspapers, Evening and technology category newspapers. We studied the classification, content, news sources of science‐technical news. Qualitative Research Methods ‐‐‐Personage interviews.

Results: The coverage of the party newspaper that the science and technology news rate is 7.5%, the evening newspapers that the science and technology news rate only 1.9%and the science and technology newspapers at the highest proportion is 25.3%.

The nine party newspapers of China is studied. The studied data showed that "the farmers Journal" is the highest newspaper which is a party newspaper of the technology space ratio for 14.6%, followed by the "People Daily", is 10.2%.
Chinese urban newspapers reported news about the science and technology in 2006 is in the serious absence, the proportion is only 1.9%.

Science and technology newspapers in china is the main battlefield for Science and technology news, but in fact, Science and technology newspaper reports on science and technology news is not optimistic, which average of space ratio was only 25.3% by accounting.

Conclusions:
1. Science‐Technical News is more and more close to the scope of social news.
2. Science and technology reports is more entertain.
3. Newspapers reported for marginalization of science and technology in increasing trend Presentation Preference
